Five hundred-strong PA Cyber delegation to rally at state Capitol
Charter school reform and adequate education funding top lobby-day priority list
MIDLAND, PA (May 15, 2012) – A delegation of nearly 500 staff, students and families from the Pennsylvania Cyber Charter School will travel from across the state to Harrisburg Tuesday, May 22 to participate in the sixth annual Charter and Cyber Charter School Day on the Hill.
The daylong event gives participants time to meet with their legislators, as well as join in an 11:45 a.m. march from the State Museum to a noon Capitol fountain news conference and rally with policymakers who support charter school reform legislation.
PA Cyber families and staff also will advocate for adequate funding for basic education.
Day on the Hill is sponsored by the Pennsylvania Coalition of Public Charter Schools, of which PA Cyber is a member, and PA Families for Public Cyber Schools.
