Rising Tennis Star Serves Up Big Dreams

Jennie Harris

Middle school student Capri has her eye on becoming a professional tennis player. She competes in tournaments all over the United States and abroad. Last winter, she traveled with Team USA to the United Kingdom and France, where she competed against some of the world’s top players under age 14. Upon returning from Europe, she spent a week at the United States Tennis Association's national campus in Orlando, Florida, before heading to a tournament in Las Vegas, Nevada.

“Playing tennis in Europe for Team USA was an amazing experience, and I was very honored for the opportunity,” Capri said. “What I enjoyed most was being able to play against some of the best girls from all over the world.”

Capri started playing tennis when she was four years old and has worked with the same coach ever since. Now she trains six days a week, often four to six hours a day, plus additional time for fitness. Several companies sponsor her sports equipment, gear, shoes, and hydration products.

As Capri’s training and travel schedule intensified, she needed a more flexible school to pursue her athletic dreams, so she enrolled at PA Cyber. We can’t wait to see where her ambitions take her! You can follow her on Instagram @capritennis.
